While on the road......

Hello Everyone! Well I wanted to let everyone know how this adventure is going so far!! I am currently on Day 2 in Ft. Collins, CO. This is the first night for me to get on the computer so I apoligize for not posting the first night but I can wrap it up quickly.

DAY 1: Tuesday, January 6th : Original plan to depart parents house by 6amish. Due to a second motor replacement on the Penske truck needed to be repaired we plan to be at the Penske place by 9am. We get there and it will take awhile so we went and had some good Mexican food. We got back to the Penske place and said goodbye to my dad (:-() and then get on the road. It was about noon when we actually got started! It was rainy this whole morning and as soon as we get past Conway the rain has stopped and it's clear the rest of the way. Chilly but clear! We stopped in Salina, KS (pronounced Salyna) and were in bed by midnight. Thankful for: My wonderful friends that helped me load the Penske late into the night. My parents for making some good food when we finally got to their house. Tim and Cham for stopping as often as they did! :-)

DAY2: Wednesday, January 7th: TODAY: We depart KS by 8am in search for breakfast. I don't know who lives in Kansas.....not really sure anyone does because it took us almost an hour to find breakfast.......tumbleweeds yes......civilization.......not so much! Again another day of great weather.....the wind, however was another story. Now just to update everyone we have Tim and Cham in the Penske truck and my mom and I in Cham's Xterra. So imagine the harshness of the wind on a big Penske truck pulling a trailer with my car on it. It was even difficult for the Xterra at times. But if wind is going to be the worse (along with some destroyed tumbleweeds) then that's ok by me. We decided to stop in Ft. Collins for the night and had a nice dinner (breakfast) at Waffle House!! Yum! Thankful for: My mom driving when I didn't feel so well! All my friends responding to my posts of progress. As well as the text messages and phone calls. To my former neighbor for trying to help me find out what is happened to the keys! I thank God for the people he has placed in my life. Even as I sit here and listen to late comers arriving to their room here and my mom snoring.....God has been so present on this trip. The wonderful skies he has given us to entertain us during the very FLAT Kansas was glorious. The countless laughs we have shared and ease of conversation is just wondeful! Thank you God for everything!
