Wrapping it up........

It's about time for me to update you guys on the remainder of my trip.......it's been busy since I have arrived at my new hometown.

DAY 3: This day ended in the most exciting of ways. At this point we are trying to average 10 hour driving days if not more. So it's dark when all of a sudden it starts snowing. And with it being dark outside the snow looks scary and a lot more than it probably was. Up until this point the guys kept to the Penske and my mom and I were in the Xterra. When the snow started it was time for the guys to step up and Tim stayed with the Penske and my mom went with him and Cham came to the Xterra. Naturally, as quickly as it began.....it was done with....but still a little scary. We were far from our desination of Twin Falls and it was getting sparce around these parts so we knew where we wanted to end up. We make it to Twin Falls and grab a quick bite to eat to start out the next morning. At this point my mom and I are discussing whether or not we would be able to make it to Seattle the next day. We aren't that far at this point but it all depends on the passes being open and the weather. We prayed for good weather to allow this to happen. Thankful for: Having the guys with us during this small stint on the road. The safety of the roads in spite of the weather. My friends for carrying about my progress.

DAY 4: We depart Twin Falls and head off into the great wide open. My mom and I are debating whether or not we will be able to make it to Arlington or not. The issue is still the passes and whether or not they are clear. We are also still dealing with wind and the Penske is hard to deal with during the strong winds. The trip from here until Arlington is truly gorgeous! If ever anyone doubted that there was a Creator of the world......they just need to drive from...about Boise, ID to Arlington, WA.....it's awesome! We end up making it to Ellensburg, WA and decide, despite the fact that we are in Washington, it was already dark and we didn't want to chance any bad weather on the passes so we stayed one last night in a hotel. Thankful for: My mom being on the road with me and having fun on the drive. The good weather that we had on the road. The walkie-talkies that my mom bought that made the road more interesting. To God for the beautiful scenary!!

DAY 5: THE LAST DAY!!! We depart Ellensburg about 9am. We had to buy chains for the Xterra and the Penske in case we needed them on the pass so we got a later start than usual. It didn't matter because at this point we are only a few hours from Home! I will never forget the feeling of driving Hwy 5 past Seattle......it was glorious! Cham sent me a text message that said 'Welcome Home'! He might be ok with words at times. We make it to Arlington and a few of our friends have gathered at the Corbin home and there is a homemade sign welcoming us home. It was great! We had a few other folks stop by that night to welcome us to the city and it was such a warm welcoming. Thankful for...........my new home.

More to come.............
